Sono Mammography(U.S.G. Breast)

What Is Sono Mammography?

Sono mammography, also known as breast ultrasound, is an imaging technique used to examine the breast tissue. It's often used in conjunction with mammography to provide additional information.

Sono mammography helps in evaluating breast abnormalities that may be detected by a mammogram or physical examination. It’s particularly useful for assessing areas that are dense or not clearly visible on a mammogram.
This method uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the breast tissue. A gel is applied to the skin, and a small device called a transducer is moved over the area to capture the sound waves and create an image on a monitor.
